Derek, Tyson & Wesley
My boys have been so lucky to have such an awesome Uncle Fred that puts up with them on the sidelines during their games. My boys look up to these players so much. This team really has an amazing group of kids.
A couple of weeks ago they started doing the Haka before & after every game. There are a couple of polynesian kids on their team that have taken charge and taught the rest of the team. I absolutely love it and I think it pumps up the team and the crowd so much and gets them off on the right foot. I will try and get it on camara Saturday for those of you who don't know what the HAKA is. :)
This is Wesley just hanging out before the game, kicking the ball around. They are just itching for their time to finally pad up and get on the big field and I must admit I can't wait either. I love football!!!
On Saturday we traveled down to Cedar City to watch Manti play San Juan in the football semi-finals at SUU. Manti was not the favorite but came out with full force and beat San Juan 26-13. They are now moving onto the State Championship game on Saturday at Timpview High School in Provo. We are so excited for this game and hope that the Templars come out on top. They are favored by 5.5 points (how you score .5 of a point in football I am not quite sure) but that is just what the Deseret News has posted. :)

For years now after every game, win or lose they stand in a line and sing the school song. It is so awesome to see a bunch of big football players stand in line and sing the school song.
The boys love to be on the field whenever they get a chance (i.e. before the game, half time & after) I have a hard time getting them off the field before the lights get shut out.
This is Derek before the semi-final game helping get the balls after the kicker kicks them.

This is my friend Molly's son, Tyson. We were sitting there talking and she couldn't find him. Then she looked up and saw Tyson coming from San Juan's side, bare foot, walking on the track with a blue balloon. Molly took off to get him and I told her to grab her camara but she didn't want to take the time so I went down the stairs to get the best shot I could.
This is Derek & Tyson just chilling on the railing watching a little football.
GOOD LUCK TEMPLARS, TAKE STATE!!!

Sounds like you are having fun with the Templars again!!
How fun is that? I tried to schedule Brynlie's birthday party AROUND the game and ended up doing it at the exact same time, so we probably won't get to go. But we'll be cheering from Springville!
It was fun to see you tonight. Those boys of yours are too handsome for words! (Even if they are completely embarrassed to see me and be forced to say hi!)
Oh man, I wish I would have known they were down here playing on saturday. I would have hooked up with you for the game!!!
Go TEMPLARS!!! TAKE STATE!
That is so fun! I want to be there to see Manti take state (again!) and do the Haka! I totally miss being closer to it all!
